August 30th, 2010Refrigerator Guide

I recently did all this research right before we purchased our new refrigerator. Since the refrigerator is one of the larger appliance purchases for your kitchen and will probably last you 10-15 years you need to choose wisely. I was surprised to find that there is such a variety in refrigerators these days. There are many styles and sizes, different colors and finishes and many features to choose from. Then of course you must check out if it is Energy Star qualified. Here is a summary of what I found out. Hope it helps you out!

Styles

1. Small Basic Refrigerator – These are best for smaller families, apartments or small kitchens. Generally it is about three to six inches narrower than your regular size refrigerators.

2. Top-freezer Refrigerator – These are still the most popular refrigerators around and are less expensive than some of the other styles below. They are generally spacious and very good for everyday use.

3. Bottom-freezer Refrigerator – These are very similar to the top-freezer version except the refrigerator is on top and the freezer is usually a pull out drawer on the bottom. It is more convenient as most of your daily use items are at eye level. The bottom freezer though can be awkward as there are no shelves and making it difficult to find specific things.

4. Side-by-side Refrigerator – This has two separate areas for the refrigerator and freezer side by side. The freezer side a little smaller. This style will be good for smaller kitchens where a wide door clearance is a problem. Most of these come standard with an in-the-door ice and water dispensers. You do lose some space on the refrigerator side as a result of this configuration and you will not be able to fit things like wide platters, cakes boxes and pizza boxes.

5. French Door Refrigerator – This is a mix between bottom-freezer and side-by-side refrigerators. The top refrigerator portion has two French doors but the inside shelves are the full width. The freezer is a pull-out drawer. Again you have the benefit of not having to bend down to reach your everyday items.

6. Built-in Refrigerator – This is the custom refrigerator that lies flush with your kitchen cabinets and can be made to look just like them. These of course are expensive. These days you can also find refrigerators made the depth of standard cabinets so it looks like a built in. This route is significantly cheaper than custom built-ins.

Features

* Automatic defrosting – Most new refrigerators have this as a standard feature and I think it is a must. Gone are the days of having to unplug and defrost yourself.

* Power Failure Warning System – This alerts you if there was a power outage while you were not around. It usually also displays the highest temperature reached so you can make a decision on discarding spoiled food.

* Ice Maker – These are pretty standard these days

* Filtered Water – Whether you have an in-door or in-refrigerator water dispenser or just an ice maker, having your water filtered is a good idea.

* Water Filter Indicator – This will notify you when it is time to change the water filter.

* In-Door Water and Ice Dispenser – This is usually standard on the side-by-side refrigerators but is harder to get on the others. Recently the French Door models are starting to give this option. This is a great feature to have specially if you have children. Less wasted energy by fewer occasions to open the refrigerator.

* Rollers – You can lock and unlock wheels as needed making it a lot easier to move the refrigerator. I find this great for cleaning.

* Adjustable shelves and trays – This is something that to me is essential. Almost makes you refrigerator custom for you. I tend to readjust shelves fairly often so to me ones that are easier do do will be important.

* Larger shelves in the door – These can accommodate gallon jugs of milk or large soda bottles.

* Cooling Zone – Cold air from the freezer section is diverted to the refrigerator door helping milk and juice, usually stored here, to remain fresher longer.

* Electronic Temperature Controls – This ensures precise temperature control in the refrigerator and freezer sections.

* Express Chill and Express Freeze Settings – This is great for when you just can not wait.

* These days some refrigerators even come with things like a television, radio, or DVD player built into a door.

Colors and Finishes

Most refrigerators come in various color choices along with your basic white and black. Stainless steel finish is very popular these days and will cost you approximately $250-$300 more. Some manufacturers are now offering fingerprint-resistant stainless steel. This is just a clear acrylic coat on the finish that resists marks. You can also opt for faux stainless that also resists finger prints.

Energy Efficiency

When shopping be sure to look for the ENERGY STAR yellow label which is required to be on display. This label provides an estimate of how much energy the appliance uses, compares energy use of similar products, and lists approximate annual operating costs. Manufacturers have to meet strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the EPA and US Department of Energy so this a good representation of efficiency. Although you may notice that higher efficiency costs more, remember you will save a significant amount on utility bills every month and help the planet.

Energy efficiency is very important but so is getting all the features you really want for the long run. So choose wisely! Good Luck!!

August 30th, 2010Rome Travel Guide

Rome style and history:

Rome is the bustling heart of Italy. A modern capital in every sense of the word yet steeped in history, with a wealth of art, architecture and religion to suit every holidaymaker, traveler, academic or pilgrim.

Over 2,000 years of history have left their mark in all parts of this stylish metropolis. Tradition has it that the city was founded by Romulus on Palatino one of the 7 hills on which Rome is built near the Tevere river, which guarantees that wherever you are you are never far from a stunning view of the city.
The most essential thing in Rome is a good pair of shoes! This is not a city where you take the bus to see the different attractions.

The whole place is like a huge, vibrant, open-air museum. Italians are a friendly people, expect to be offered help if you are standing on a street corner with a map in your hand and a puzzled look on you face. Style is the order of the day when out in Rome, good strong, but not bright colors a scarf flicked fashionably over and a smart bag over your shoulder, nom fanny packs please they do spoil the line of you Gucci you know!

Avoid eating in the tourist cafes around the main spots such as St.Mark’s square they are overpriced, very often with poor food and service. Go back a couple of streets to the small cafes frequented by the locals and you will get better, cheaper food and also get to dine and chat with the real Romans.

Colosseum: Probably the most famous landmark in Rome is a huge open-air stadium that could hold up to 50,000 Romans. Built by the Emperor Titus in AD80 it hosted games, gladiatorial combats and even could be flooded with water to provide a setting for reconstructions of famous navel battles.

Sistene Chapel: Situated at the far and of the Vatican museum, a day out in itself, the chapel was in need of a little decoration so in 1508 Michelangelo was brought to paint the 10,000 sq foot ceiling, single-handedly! The resulting work took over 4 years to complete and is considered to be on of the finest works of art in the world.

Fontana di Trevi (trevi fountain): A Huge and stunning eighteenth century fountain designed by Nicola Salvi, it is said that if you throw a coin with your right hand over your left shoulder you will one day return to Rome.

Piazza Navona: This square takes it’s strange shape from the original arena built there for displays of horsemanship, it is now a busy, fun place packed with stalls and eateries in the daytime and portrait and Caricatures artists at night.

Pantheon: A huge temple built by the Emperor Hadrian around AD120 it had, until 1960, the largest dome in the world. It also still has the original doors now nearly 1,900 years old. A fascinating and magnificent building.

Travestere: Not the main tourist center of Rome but a fascinating area full of winding lane and small shops selling interesting and unusual things, great nightlife food and a huge Sunday market. It is also home to what is said to be the oldest church in Rome. The beautiful Santa Maria the oldest part of which is said to date from the 3rd century AD.

Villa Borghese:The largest are of parkland in Rome it is a wonderful place to get away from the noise of the city fort a while. It has wonderful trees, quiet walks, a lake where you can rent a boat, and a wonderful art gallery. It also holds outdoor concerts of classical music every July.

There are many walking tours on offer and these are a great way to see the highlights of the city with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide.
Beware of over enthusiastic street traders in popular tourist spots such as the Trevi fountain.

Although a fairly safe city it is best to avoid the back streets at night and stick to the main thoroughfares, which are usually a sight in themselves as the stylishly dressed inhabitants go out for a stroll and a good meal. A great time for people watching, especially if you at one of the pavement table that many restaurants and cafes have.

But the main focus of any holiday in Rome should always be on the architecture and history which is like nowhere else in the world

August 29th, 2010Egyptian travel guide

The land of the Pharaohs. The child of the Nile. Call it by any name but the mystic land never ends to attract the greatest people to it. It’s the country, which is home to the oldest civilization of the world. The magnanimity and the grandeur of the Egyptian civilization is what make it the traveler’s paradise. The popularity of the place is mainly because of the great pyramids at Giza. These architectural and construction wonders have made a firm footing in the list of the Seven Wonders of the World. And that is not all. The pyramids are present at other places too. The famous statue of the Sphinx is also there in Giza. The fertility of the Nile Basin is the main reason why the greatest civilization could thrive there.

The capital city of Cairo is also an international hub now. The city is a smooth blend of culture and modernization. The city has the greatest business centers and the best infrastructure in the country. Ancient museums and art galleries adorn this city. The city holds the distinction of being the oldest in the world. The best way to travel around the city is on foot. This gives the inquisitive tourist ample time to see each structure. But for the people wit less time, transportation is easy in the city. Many mosques are there and they give an impression of the grandeur of architecture.

The great desert surrounds the country and the most important sources of life in the desert are the oases. These are the fertile lands in the middle of the desert, which are used for agriculture and cultivation. They are the cradles of life in the very challenging weathers of the desert. The Dakhla, the Siwa are some of the oases locations where the Egyptian people cultivate. The nomads of the desert find a resting place in the oases. The Foyum is a large oasis and is the source of salt. Many tourists from Islamic and non-islamic countries come to visit the country.

Mount Sinai is one of the sacred spots of the country. It was the place where Moses gave the famous TEN COMMANDMENTS to his disciples and explained them the message of the God. The place is known for its religious importance. The place is lined by the Red Sea, which houses very beautiful coral reef, and it offers fantastic geographic beauty. Apart from the religious pursuits the city also offers the best shopping hubs and showrooms. The city is never short of new things to show. But the spots of religious and historical importance remain the most visited. There are many water parks that offer joy rides and other entertainment offers. The cities of Egypt are always bustling with activity and the bird watchers can find the natural beauties around Lake Nasser. The country fulfills all the expectations of the visitors completely. The most important point remains the preservation of the cultural heritage and that had to in the hands of the residents.

Barcelona is undoubtedly a beautiful and exciting city to be in. I lived and worked there for some time and would thoroughly recommend it as a place that you have to visit if you get the opportunity.

All major cities have their bad sides, and Barcelona is no exception. There are pickpockets, con artists, bag snatchers, and others who target the tourist.

So I have compiled a list of TEN potential dangers that you should be aware of.

1) The first tip is probably the most important.

Avoid advertising the fact that you are a tourist.

Standing in the middle of the street, looking lost, with a large map held up in the air is like sending out a beacon to Mr. Pick and Pocket that you are a walking ATM waiting to be emptied!

Taking some minor precautions will prevent you from putting yourself in unnecessary situations.

I would suggest that you do not dress chez touriste! Notice what the locals are wearing and blend in as much as possible. I am not saying go out and buy a whole new Catalan wardrobe, but do avoid looking like a tourist as much as possible.

If you need to refer to a map, then simply step into a shop, bank, or café and take the map out there. Do not wave it around in the street like a matador with his red cape!

2) Always be mindful of your belongings and where they are.

Pickpockets are there, they work in groups, and they are quick.

I always carry a ‘secondary’ wallet when traveling. Leave all your essentials back at the hotel, locked in the room safe. When you go out during the day, or for a meal at night, put only the amount of cash you think you will need into a ‘secondary’ cheap wallet, or purse. That way if it does get stolen you haven’t lost everything. Also, do not carry your wallet in your back pocket. Put it in the front pocket, which is deeper and much easier to keep an eye on.

If you are carrying a bag, rucksack, or handbag do not have it on your back or over your shoulder.

Carry the rucksack facing to the front, and the handbag under your arm. This especially applies when you are standing in the metro or walking down Las Ramblas. I have seen thieves walk behind you, unzip a pocket of a rucksack and take what they can get. Usually you don’t even notice until the next time you need something from your bag. They are that good! They will also cut the straps of your handbag and snatch it from you. Less subtle but more effective!

3) Sitting outside for a meal, or a drink, be aware that you may be approached by people selling something, or just asking for money. Do not leave your bag where it can be easily snatched or tampered with. Do not leave anything valuable like a camera or wallet sitting on the table. Unless of course you do not want it anymore!

A friend of mine fell victim to someone who was going from table to table selling postcards. The cards she had showed him she laid over his wallet which he had foolishly left sitting on the table. When she picked up her postcards to leave she simply picked up the wallet that was under them.

4) If you do find yourself alone at night walking back to your hotel, stick to the main streets that are well lit. Do not attempt a shorter route down the darker side alleys.

5) The metro is a targeted area by pickpockets. Here they operate in pairs or more.

One particular maneuver to be wary of is played out as you step on and off the metro. One of the thieves will be in front of you as you step on to the train and one behind you. The one in front will bend over right in front of you and block you from moving further on to the carriage. He reaches back and grabs at your ankles or legs. You will then try to beat his hands away, and as you bend over to do this his accomplice behind you will lift your wallet from your pocket. Then just as the carriage doors shut they jump off the train onto the platform, leaving you stranded on the train, unable to catch them.

6) Another scam involves someone approaching you and explaining that a passing bird has just left it’s business down your back! They then offer to help you clean it off and suggest you take off your jacket. He pretends to wipe off the offending mess and while he does this he is lifting your wallet from your jacket! This really does happen!

7) A scam that you will see being played out regularly on Las Ramblas is the one that involves a guy, three cups, and a pea.

This particular ‘play’ is as old as the hills and is used the world-over by con artists so if you do fall for this one then you do not deserve any sympathy!

The main player will be asking people to bet money on the location of the pea as he moves the cups around a makeshift table. You follow his ‘magic’ hands closely and amazingly manage to pick the cup that the pea is hiding under, every single time.

The people around you are betting, some winning, and some losing. They encourage you to try your luck and you may well succeed with your first small bet. BUT as soon as the stakes get larger YOU WILL LOSE! The people around you are also in on the scam, making a commotion to attract someone gullible enough to try their luck. They are not making real bets. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME. YOU WILL LOSE EVERY TIME.

8) Be cautious of anyone asking for a light for a cigarette. It is safer to just say no.

A potential thief is looking for a way to start some kind of interaction. They ask you where you are from, steer the conversation on to the subject of football and before you know it they are demonstrating a Barcelona team ‘celebration’ out on you. This involves bodily contact along the lines of high-spirited high-fives, hugging, and ultimately, wallet lifting!

9) An area to be aware of which shows the seedier side of Barcelona is the southern end of Las Ramblas, near the monument of Christopher Columbus. At night, and the early hours of the morning this area is populated with prostitutes and drug pushers.

10) When you are relaxing on the beach, again be mindful of your belongings. If you have headphones on, fall asleep, or go for a swim in the water, your possessions become increasingly vulnerable. Thieves will watch out for these kinds of situations and take the opportunity if it presents itself to help themselves.

So there you have ten great tips to bear in mind if you are considering a visit to one of Europe’s most beautiful and exciting cities. It is by no means my intention to scare you into thinking Barcelona is a dangerous place.

Because it isn’t.

It does however, like all major cities, have its negative aspects, which I hope to have drawn your attention to. It is my intention to forewarn you against possible dangers that do exist. And with this information I hope your time in Barcelona is free of any travel horror stories.

Treadmills are often used in the home to save time and avoid the expense of going to a gym. You can easily read a book or watch over the kids while you work out on your home treadmill. Basic treadmill models can start at $100 and can go up to $5000.

Always choose a belt width that’s at least of 16 ” ands long enough to accommodate your stride. Treadmill cushioning absorbs the force of your step; get good cushioning to lower the impact on your joints and ligaments. Some treadmills fold up for easy storage which makes them an ideal choice for those with limited space in a small apartment, small house or condo.

One feature that is absolutely necessary in a home treadmill is an emergency stop button or a safety key that automatically shuts off the power if you should stumble, trip or fall. Features such as extra cup holders, built-in fans, CD players and other electronic gizmos may be handy but not essential for you to get an ideal workout. Notice that some treadmill heart rate monitors clip onto an ear or, for more accurate readings, strap onto the chest.

Some treadmills monitor your heart by way of sensors built into the frame that are gripped by your hands, but can only be done if you’re walking not running. Less expensive treadmill models require you to manually change the incline, which can be very frustrating if you want to make adjustments midway through a workout session.

A heart rate monitor enables a treadmill to automatically adjust the speed and/or the incline to keep your heart rate within the most optimum zone. The console indicates the belt speed and other factors, such as heart rate, miles per hour, and distance. People, who don’t have enough room for a bulky exercise machine, may want to consider a folding treadmill; they collapse to allow for easy storage.

You’ll probably want to buy a unit with a motor that delivers 1.5 to 3 continuous, not peak, horsepower. When your equipment is up and running, get the right lubricants and cleaners to take good care of it. You’ll want a treadmill with an aluminum or high alloy steel frame that’s strong enough to support the heaviest runner who’ll be using it.

Probably the most important thing to look for in a treadmill is to see how sturdy it is. Before buying, make sure the deck area provides enough space for you to exercise in comfort and the belt should work smoothly without slipping or sticking. Commercial club treadmills are reliable and well constructed; do look into a home version.

If there’s a treadmill you’ve enjoyed using regularly at your local gym or fitness center check to see if there’s a home version available in your price range. Buying a treadmill online has become the way to go for most people; it’ll save you both time and a lot of money. Your club commercial machine may be may be a good choice in a home version; you’re already familiar with its features and probably are comfortable using it.

When planning your purchase always take into account any other members of your family, or roommates, who’ll be using your treadmill. Once you’ve decided on the treadmill that you think is right for you, make sure to compare prices online with several different manufacturers.

Any treadmill with a belt that causes jerky movements while you walk or run should be avoided. Did I mention to make sure to check out the warranty fine print, this is very important.

Be careful, because any type of jogging or running, whether on a treadmill or not, puts strain on leg and hip joints. If you have severe problems with your legs, a treadmill may not be the best choice of home exercise equipment for you.

Selections of preprogrammed exercise routines are not essential to obtaining a good workout from a treadmill, but they do help to provide motivation. The lack of wind resistance makes running on a treadmill slightly easier than it would otherwise be on an equal elevation grade outdoors.

Spend some time shopping around, work out exactly what you need, and then shop online and offline so you can compare for the best price. Read the various treadmill ratings and treadmill reviews that you find online so you have an idea which models are best for you. By following the above tips you’re sure to find the best treadmill for you.

August 29th, 2010Online Shopping Lingo

Experienced online shoppers know that there’s a lot more involved in finding good deals online than visiting sites such as Amazon.com and clicking on the “Today’s Deals” link. (Although that’s certainly not a bad idea!)

The deals worth bragging about are a lot more elusive, so savvy online shoppers turn to coupon, refunding and bargain sites for help. Yet for online shopping novices, visiting such sites may, at first, seem like visiting a foreign country. You see phrases such as:

GDA! BBW B&M BOGO on soaps, HTH

And you think WHAT? Huh? What are they talking about? What language is THAT?

(Translation: Good Deal Alert! Bath & Body Works brick-and-mortar store has buy-one-get-one on soaps, hope this helps!)

I mean, it’s enough to make you want to TYHO! (Tear Your Hair Out – I made that one up.)

Be Understanding

If your wife has suddenly started talking about breast augmentation surgery, you probably know why. If not, find out her reasons. Listen to her. Figure out how she feels about her body. Figure out whether you have done something to make her feel anxiety about her body (most likely not) and whether anything you can do is likely to help her resolve these issues (most likely not). Most times, a woman’s relationship with her body is something you can’t change, no matter how many times you (truthfully) tell her how much you love her.

Be Supportive

If your wife decides to go through with the surgery, give her encouragement. Help her in the process of gathering information and choosing a cosmetic surgeon. Do not discourage her. Try to find ways of speaking positively about the surgery without speaking negatively about her current body (since she may not end up going through with it, after all). Show some excitement and a moderate amount of initiative. Too much excitement will imply that you’re unhappy with her current body, but you should make her believe you feel the surgery will be good for her, if you do (see below). Do a little research on your own, and it never hurts to bring little spontaneous gifts to help alleviate her stress and anxiety.

Be Honest

Advice columns on breast enlargement and husbands often say that it’s entirely her decision. This is not strictly true. The Bible says man and wife are one flesh, and whether or not you are religious, you will have to live with the results of her breast enlargement surgery for as long as she will. Every time you touch her, every time you see her, the breast implants will be there, from morning until night. If you are considering having children following the surgery, know that in some small percentage of cases, breast augmentation surgery could make her unable to breastfeed. The decision is ultimately hers, but she has to allow for your feelings, and you have to make your feelings clear. For some couples, breast enlargement surgery can resolve important issues, but if you keep your feelings bottled up, it can lead to troubles later on.

You may be concerned your wife is getting this surgery to get attention from other men. If you feel this way, say so. You won’t help her or you by keeping this feeling suppressed. Even though it is most likely not her rationale, she will get more attention from other men. Nip jealousy in the bud to prevent blowups later on.

Man and wife are often one bank account. Even if you have separate accounts and work separate jobs, your finances are most likely completely embroiled. It is not just her paying for the surgery, but both of you. Express your feelings on the cost. Make sure you feel this is a good investment, and that you won’t blame her for the expense. Help her make a plan to minimize the financial impact, including considering her financing options for breast enlargement surgery to come up with a solution you can both live with. Money is one of the most common subjects of arguments among couples and you have to make sure you are not augmenting trouble along with her breasts.

Be Involved

Your wife will have a lot to do before her surgery. First, she will have to make decisions about her breast implants’ size and shape, and whether they should be silicone or saline-filled. She may want to try out her size by filling baggies or stockings with rice or couscous. Give helpful input without trying to guide her choice of size. The key is to help her make the decision, not make the decision for her. When she is doing her research, help her make sure she’s considered all the surgical options. Look at before and after pictures of breast enlargements with her and discuss them frankly. Meet her doctor. Make sure you trust this man or woman to put your wife under the knife. Give your input on the cosmetic surgeon, but make sure you’re not being overprotective or jealous. A helpful approach is to confine your remarks to professional qualifications and other objective factors while letting your wife decide with whom she feels comfortable. Your wife may or many not want you to be at the consultation. If she wants you there, participate, but make sure you are mostly listening. Let your wife do the talking to the doctor. If your wife can’t or won’t talk to the doctor, you might suggest he/she is not the right choice. If you are asked questions, give honest, straightforward answers.

If you have kids, make sure they are involved, too. They may not have any decisions to make, but they are going to be inconvenienced. Not only that, but they’re going to notice the difference. Your behavior will be a guide their response to the change. If you are supportive, they will be, too. If they ask you questions, again be honest and straightforward. If you are evasive, they will know you are trying to hide something, and it will make them more curious.

Be Prepared

Make sure you know what the recovery period will be like after breast enhancement surgery. You will have to take care of your wife completely for at least a day or two following the surgery. Make sure you’re prepared to do that, including:

· Get time off from work

· Figure out what you and the kids are going to eat: stock up on food you can cook

· If you don’t normally do work around the house, find out where supplies are so you don’t have to ask

· Make sure her prescriptions are filled and keep them handy

· Help her prepare the bed: since she will have to sleep upright for a while, you might need to buy extra pillows or a bed wedge

· Make sure you can handle the kids’ needs and schedules

· Make a plan for keeping the kids from bothering her

· Enlist the kids’ aid in taking care of her, if possible

· Get her recovery gifts, such as:

o Flowers

o Jewelry

o Body lotion and bath supplies

o New clothes you think will look good on her new shape (keep receipts!)

· Be mentally prepared for the emotional roller-coaster she may ride for several months after the surgery

After recovery, your wife’s new confidence will lead to changes in her behavior. She will probably want to shop for new clothes. She may dress more provocatively, both in public and in private to show off her new body.

She will most likely receive more attention from men on the street. There’s no way to avoid this, and it is not a cause for concern. Don’t be defensive: take the glances as compliments. Make them a positive thing that can help complete the results of the surgery: a happier, healthier woman.

If your wife is considering breast enhancement surgery in Northern Virginia or the Washington, D.C. area, help her with her research by visiting the site of the Virginia Center for Plastic Surgery.

Sheffield is the fourth largest city in great britain and boasts a population of 525 800. these days, the city boasts a thriving economy and quite low cost of living, so you will be able to live life to the full here.

Sheffield boasts loads of culture and entertainment, including fantastic theatres, museums and galleries. it’s the greenest city in britain, with 50 public parks. Crime statistics also demonstrate that it is one of britain’s safest cities.

Sheffield is situated close to Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham and the Peak District.

The Sheffield area has been occupied since the last ice age at least. however, it was during the 18th century with the birth of the steelworks, that the city really prospered. Indeed, the town was named as a borough in 1843 and given city status in 1893.

In the early 1970s, plenty of the city’s steelworks were shut thanks to competition from other countries. although this caused mass unemployment, Sheffield was later revitalised and it’s now a thriving, futuristic city that’s well-known for its music, great music and pretty green spaces.

You will locate lots of fantastic things to do in Sheffield. In fact, the city has some fantastic museums & art galleries, which are worth visiting. These include the snazzy graves gallery, which has some fantastic artwork by artists including Cezanne, Turner & Sam taylor wood. It also hosts frequent touring exhibitions.

A handful of other fantastic museums & art galleries are the Millennium Galleries and Bishops House.

Sheffield has many to offer shopping fans. the city has meadowhall, which is a huge mall with over 240 stores. The mall opened in 1990 and was one of the very first out-of-town shopping malls in the uk.

Despite this, Sheffield city centre boasts some fantastic stores, too. in actual fact, you’ll find everything there, from high-street stores like makeover, to unusual independent stores.

Sheffield is well-known for its nightlife, so it is a great place to visit for an evening out. in actual fact, the city boasts many inns, bars, and nightclubs.

A saying goes ‘An ideal journey would be one, that unplanned!’ A contrast to the previous thought though, a Seattle tourist would most probably prefer a planned holiday (a Seattle tourist wouldn’t wish to moot around missing some major attractions) and make it a memorable one.

There are few important aspects that a Seattle tourist should take care of like the hotel reservation (accommodation is important and prior booking through internet should leave a Seattle tourist rest assured) and the laws of Seattle city being the major ones. A Seattle tourist can always opt for the tours available to cruise through the city or can explore the place all by oneself (or with an aid of a guide). The tours will not only make things easier for a Seattle tourist but will also give him sufficiently good knowledge about the history and importance of few places and all that in a planned manner saving oodles of time. Few of the tours that a Seattle tourist can bank on are-
•‘Go Seattle card’- Seattle’s top attractions can be viewed by the Seattle tourist.
•‘Seattle double Decker tour’- For Seattle tourists who prefer a double Decker ride through the major attractions of the city.
•‘Savor Seattle food tours’ (tel-1.877.357.8088) and Cruise West-British Columbia Cruises (tel-1.888.851.8133) are another two tours a Seattle tourist can look up to.

However, a Seattle tourist would love to catch up with few hangouts and attractions of the city alone or with pals, to make it a more private affair. The major attractions of the city should include ‘the woodland park zoo’, ‘the Seattle aquarium’-on the downtown waterfront, The museum of flight- the biggest of its kind in the world, the Seattle public library, the Seattle center of art and culture, the Pike place market- for the shopping addict Seattle tourist, The space needle- the most remarkable landmark of Seattle city (a must for a Seattle tourist), Lake Union etc. The lush greenery around and the view of the distant landscapes will catch the eye of a Seattle tourist all by itself! Several art galleries like the ‘Fyre art museum’ on ‘First Hill’ and the Henry art gallery should make some good time for art loving Seattle tourists. The Seattle underground tour is worth mentioning here, as it takes Seattle tourists through the places that were in existence before ‘The great fire’. The annual cultural events and attractive fairs of Seattle are very popular and a wise Seattle tourist would plan a holiday so as to suit the days of such cultural extravaganzas. ‘The Seattle international film festival’, ‘the bite of the Seattle’, ‘the northwest folklife’, the various ‘seafair’ events (during July and August) are the crowd-pulling events of Seattle. ‘Hempfest’ is another event that a Seattle tourist wouldn’t wish to miss.

Good food is another aspect sort after by a Seattle tourist. Seattle has some of the very best restaurants with relishing cuisine and culinary wonders be it Chinese, Indian, American, Continental or any other eateries a Seattle tourist would have heard of. Brunches of Seattle like the ones at Café Moose, coastal kitchen have satiated many taste buds.

One short story says, ‘A once Seattle tourist is now a Seattle native’. Be aware! :)
